All pre-filled syringes in our catheterisation jelly range are single-use, sterile, and designed specifically for use during catheterisation procedures.OptiLube Zero is the newest addition to our extensive sterile lubricating jelly range, allowing us to offer you even more choice when it comes to choosing the right product for your patient. The insertion of a catheter can be painful for the patient, which is why the clinician will use catheterisation jelly, a lubricating gel specifically developed to aid the insertion of the catheter, minimising pain and reducing the risk of infection and trauma. Why do we offer a range of catheterisation gels? For children between the age of 2 years and 15 years, the maximum dosage is 0.3g gel per kg of body-weight. This is equivalent to 6mg of lidocaine per kg of body-weight. OptiLube Zero is the newest addition to our sterile lubricating jelly range.
